ในโอกาสนี้ กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ย้ำถึงความสำคัญของการรวมตัวของกลุ่มแฟนคลับ T-POP ในออสเตรเลียเพื่อสร้างความรับรู้และเผยแพร่วัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัยของไทยในออสเตรเลีย โดยเฉพาะคอนเทนต์วายและยูริ ซึ่งสามารถต่อยอดไปสู่การเผยแพร่วัฒนธรรมไทยด้านอื่น ๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นอาหาร การท่องเที่ยว การแต่งกาย ภาษาไทย และศิลปวัฒนธรรม นอกจากนั้น ยังย้ำถึงบทบาทของแฟนคลับชาวไทยในออสเตรเลียในฐานะทูตทางวัฒนธรรมในระดับประชาชน

 

ภายในงานมีกิจกรรมสุดพิเศษสำหรับแฟนคลับ ได้แก่ การฉายคลิปวิดีโอจากนักแสดงซีรีส์วายและยูริของไทยทักทายแฟนคลับชาวออสเตรเลีย การสัมภาษณ์สดนักแสดงซีรีส์วายและยูริของไทยผ่านวิดีโอคอล การจับรางวัล Lucky Draw เพื่อรับของรางวัลของที่ระลึกจากศิลปิน กิจกรรมแสดงความคิดเห็นและบอร์ดข้อความถึงนักแสดงที่ชื่นชอบ เกมตอบคำถามแฟนซีรีส์ เกมปาลูกบอลลงหลุม การทำพวงกุญแจ DIY การคัดไทยเพื่อชิงรางวัลคอร์สเรียนภาษาไทยออนไลน์ และการจัดแสดงแฟนคอลเลกชันของแฟนคลับในออสเตรเลีย

 

การจัดงานของสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ในครั้งนี้ได้รับการสนับสนุนจากภาคส่วนต่าง ๆ ได้แก่ Dr. Thomas Baudinette อาจารย์อาวุโสด้านวัฒนธรรมนานาชาติ มหาวิทยาลัย Macquarie สถาบัน TSLTK สมาคมส่งเสริมคอนเทนต์ วาย ไทย GMMTV Channel3 และบริษัทผู้ผลิตซีรีส์วายและยูริ อาทิ HeartPop Studio และ Mojo Muse Management

 

การจัดงานในครั้งนี้เป็นการจัดกิจกรรมแฟนมีตติ้งของคอนเทนต์วายและยูริ และวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัยของไทยเป็นครั้งแรกในออสเตรเลีย และได้รับความสนใจและการตอบรับอย่างอบอุ่นจากแฟนคลับในออสเตรเลีย ผู้เข้าร่วมงานต่างแสดงความประทับใจที่ได้มีโอกาสพบปะรวมตัวแฟนคลับที่มีความชื่นชอบใน T-POP และได้ทำกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ เพื่อแสดงความชื่นชอบและหลงใหลในศิลปินและคอนเทนต์บันเทิงจากประเทศไทย

 

On 6 September 2025, Mr. Naruchai Ninnad, Consul-General of Thailand in Sydney, presided over the opening of the BL & GL Thai Pop Fan Meet held at The Mint, Sydney. The event was organised by the Royal Thai Consulate-General to bring together fan clubs of Thai artists, Thai Boy’s Love (BL) and Girl’s Love (GL) content, and influencers who follow contemporary Thai culture (T-POP) in Australia. More than 50 people participated in the event.

 

On this occasion, the Consul-General emphasised the importance of uniting T-POP fan communities in Australia to raise awareness and promote Thai contemporary culture, especially BL and GL content, which can be extended to other aspects of Thai culture such as food, tourism, fashion, Thai language, and arts and culture. He also underlined the role of Thai fans in Australia as cultural ambassadors at the people-to-people level.

 

The event featured special activities for fans, including: video greetings from Thai BL and GL actors to Australian fans, live interviews with Thai BL and GL actors via video call, a Lucky Draw with prizes and artist memorabilia, a fan message board and sharing activities, trivia games for series fans, a ball-toss game, DIY keychain making, Thai calligraphy contests with online Thai language course prizes, and displays of fan collections from Australian fan clubs.

 

The event was supported by various partners, including Dr. Thomas Baudinette, Senior Lecturer in Global Cultures School of International Studies at Macquarie University, TSLTK, the Thai Association of Boys Love Content, GMMTV, Channel 3 Thailand, and BL/GL production companies such as HeartPop Studio and Mojo Muse Management.

 

This event was the first-ever fan meeting in Australia dedicated to Thai BL and GL content as well as contemporary Thai culture. The event was warmly received, with participants expressing their appreciation for the opportunity to gather with fellow T-POP fans and to engage in activities celebrating their admiration and passion for Thai artists and entertainment.
