เมื่อวันที่ 27 มกราคม 2569 นายนฤชัย นินนาท กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ พร้อมด้วยข้าราชการทีมประเทศไทย และคณะกรรมการองค์การสะพานปลา นำโดยพลโท นุกูล นรฉันท์ ประธานกรรมการ ศึกษาดูงานที่ตลาดปลา นครซิดนีย์ ในโอกาสการเยือนนครซิดนีย์ ระหว่างวันที่ 26 - 30 มกราคม 2569
ตลาดปลานครซิดนีย์แห่งใหม่เป็นหนึ่งในโครงการพัฒนาเมืองที่สำคัญและโดดเด่นที่สุดของนครซิดนีย์ เปิดให้บริการอย่างเป็นทางการตั้งแต่วันที่ 19 มกราคม 2569 โดยเป็นทั้งตลาดค้าส่งและค้าปลีกอาหารทะเลแบบครบวงจร พร้อมระบบการประมูลแบบ Dutch auction และมีโครงการสอนทำอาหาร Sydney Seafood School (SSS) ซึ่งจัดหลักสูตรฝึกอบรมครอบคลุมกิจกรรมตลอดห่วงโซ่อุตสาหกรรมอาหารทะเล สำหรับผู้ประกอบการ นักเรียน นักศึกษา และประชาชนทั่วไป ทั้งนี้ คาดว่าตลาดปลาแห่งใหม่จะสามารถดึงดูดผู้เข้าเยี่ยมชมได้มากกว่า 6 ล้านคนต่อปี เพิ่มขึ้นเกือบสองเท่าจากเดิม
ในโอกาสนี้ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ ยังได้เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดเลี้ยงอาหารค่ำเพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่คณะกรรมการองค์การสะพานปลา ณ บ้านพักกงสุลใหญ่ฯ อีกด้วย
On 27 January 2026, Mr. Naruchai Ninnad, Consul-General of Thailand in Sydney, together with officials from Team Thailand and a delegation from the Fish Marketing Organization (FMO), led by Lieutenant General Nukoon Norachan, Chairman of the Board, paid a study visit to the New Sydney Fish Market.
The new Sydney Fish Market is one of the most significant and landmark urban development projects in the City of Sydney. It officially opened on 19 January 2026 and serves as a fully integrated wholesale and retail seafood market, featuring a Dutch auction system.
The complex also houses the Sydney Seafood School (SSS), which offers training programmes covering activities across the entire seafood industry value chain for entrepreneurs, school and university students, and the general public. It is expected that the new fish market will attract more than 6 million visitors per year, almost doubling the previous number of visitors.
On this occasion, Consul-General Naruchai hosted a dinner at the Consul-General’s Residence in honour of the delegation.
