เมื่อวันที่ 28 เมษายน 2569 นางสาวอาจารี ศรีรัตนบัลล์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงแคนเบอร์รา พร้อมด้วยนายนฤชัย นินนาท กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ พบหารือกับคณะอาจารย์ระดับอุดมศึกษาชาวไทยในนครซิดนีย์ ณ สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ โดยมีนักวิชาการและอาจารย์จากมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำเข้าร่วม ได้แก่ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีซิดนีย์ (UTS) มหาวิทยาลัยซิดนีย์ (USYD) และมหาวิทยาลัย Macquarie
การหารือดังกล่าวเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการสร้างเครือข่ายนักวิชาการไทยในออสเตรเลีย เพื่อส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ไทย–ออสเตรเลีย โดยเฉพาะในด้านการศึกษา การวิจัย และนวัตกรรม ซึ่งจะช่วยสนับสนุนการพัฒนาทรัพยากรมนุษย์และเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถของประเทศไทย โดยคาดหวังว่านักวิชาการจะมีบทบาทสำคัญในการให้คำแนะนำและสนับสนุนนักเรียนและนักศึกษาชาวไทยที่มาศึกษาในออสเตรเลีย
On 28 April 2026, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Canberra, together with Mr. Naruchai Ninnad, Consul-General in Sydney, held a meeting with Thai academics based in Sydney at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney. The meeting was attended by scholars and academic staff from leading universities, including the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), the University of Sydney (USYD), and Macquarie University.
The discussion provided an important opportunity to strengthen a network of Thai academics in Australia, with the aim of promoting Thailand–Australia relations, particularly in the fields of education, research, and innovation. Such collaboration is expected to contribute to human resource development and enhance Thailand’s national capabilities. It is also anticipated that academics will play a key role in providing guidance and support to Thai students studying in Australia.
