เมื่อวันที่ 8 สิงหาคม 2568 นายนฤชัย นินนาท กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดเลี้ยงอาหารกลางวันแก่กงสุลใหญ่และกงสุลจากประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนประจำซิดนีย์ ได้แก่ อินโดนีเซีย มาเลเซีย ฟิลิปปินส์ และเวียดนาม เนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ 58 ปี การก่อตั้งสมาคมประชาชาติแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (Association of Southeast Asian Nations – ASEAN) โดยมี นางสาว Charmaine Aviquivil กงสุลใหญ่ฟิลิปปินส์ ดร. Fahmi bin Abdul Rahim กงสุล/หัวหน้าสำนักงานสถานกงสุลใหญ่มาเลเซีย นาย Nguyen Thanh Tung กงสุลใหญ่เวียดนาม นาย Pendekar Muda Leonard Sondakh กงสุลใหญ่อินโดนีเซีย และกงสุลจากแต่ละประเทศสมาชิกเข้าร่วมงาน
ในโอกาสนี้ กงสุลใหญ่ฯ กล่าวเปิดงาน พร้อมเน้นย้ำบทบาทของประเทศไทยในการสนับสนุนกิจกรรมของประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนในออสเตรเลีย เพื่อเสริมสร้างสังคมและเศรษฐกิจอาเซียนให้แข็งแกร่งยิ่งขึ้น ขณะเดียวกัน กงสุลใหญ่ฟิลิปปินส์ได้กล่าวแสดงความยินดีในวาระครบรอบ 58 ปีของการก่อตั้งอาเซียน และย้ำความสำคัญของการรวมตัวเป็นสมาคม ตลอดจนความสัมพันธ์อันยาวนานระหว่างประเทศสมาชิกกับออสเตรเลีย ภายในงาน มีการขับร้องเพลงชาติอาเซียนร่วมกัน และถ่ายรูปร่วมกันเป็นที่ระลึก
On 8 August 2025, Mr. Naruchai Ninnad, Consul-General of Thailand in Sydney hosted a luncheon for Consuls-General and Consuls from ASEAN member countries based in Sydney, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, to commemorate the 58th Anniversary of the founding of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Distinguished attendees included Ms. Charmaine Aviquivil, Consul-General of the Philippines, Dr. Fahmi bin Abdul Rahim, Consul / Head of the Consulate General of Malaysia, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Consul-General of Vietnam, Mr. Pendekar Muda Leonard Sondakh, Consul-General of Indonesia, as well as Consuls from each ASEAN member country.
On this occasion, the Consul-General of Thailand delivered opening remarks, emphasising Thailand’s commitment to supporting activities of ASEAN member countries in Australia to further strengthen the ASEAN community and economy. In her address, the Consul-General of the Philippines extended her congratulations on the 58th Anniversary of ASEAN’s establishment, underscoring the significance of ASEAN’s formation and the long-standing relations between ASEAN member states and Australia.
The event concluded with the singing of the ASEAN Anthem and a group photo session to commemorate the occasion.
