เมื่อวันที่ 27 กรกฎาคม 2568 นายนฤชัย นินนาท กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ เป็นประธานในพิธีไหว้ครูดนตรีไทย นาฏศิลป์ไทย และครูอาหารและการครัว (ปากศิลป์วิทยา) และพิธีมอบตัวเป็นศิษย์ของนักเรียนใหม่ประจำปีการศึกษา 2568 ของชมรมดนตรีไทยและนาฏศิลป์แห่งประเทศออสเตรเลีย
ในโอกาสดังกล่าว กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้เจิมหน้าผากให้นักเรียนดนตรีไทยและนาฏศิลป์ เจิมเครื่องดนตรีไทย รวมถึงเศียรครู เพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคล มอบใบประกาศนียบัตรแก่ผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการเผยแพร่ดนตรีไทยและนาฏศิลป์ไทย ประจำปี 2567 มอบของที่ระลึกให้ครูดนตรีไทยและนาฏศิลป์ประจำชมรม และให้โอวาทแก่สมาชิกชมรมฯ ในโอกาสเดียวกันนี้ กงสุลใหญ่ฯ มอบเงินสนับสนุนกิจกรรมชมรมฯ ซึ่งได้ดำเนินกิจกรรมมากว่า 20 ปีแล้ว ชมรมดนตรีไทยและนาฏศิลป์แห่งประเทศออสเตรเลีย (Thai Classical Music Club in Australia) ก่อตั้งเมื่อปี 2547 โดยนายชาญพัฒน์ จันทมูล (ครูโอ๊ต) เป็นผู้ก่อตั้งและรวบรวมผู้ที่มีความสามารถทางด้านดนตรีไทยและนาฏศิลป์ในออสเตรเลียจัดวงดนตรีไทยขึ้นวงแรก และทำกิจกรรมของชุมชนไทยและเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมทางวัฒนธรรมร่วมกับท้องถิ่นและประเทศอื่น ๆ ในออสเตรเลีย โดยได้จดทะเบียนอย่างถูกต้อง เป็นองค์กรที่ดำเนินการเผยแพร่ดนตรีไทยและนาฏศิลป์ไทย และเป็นองค์กรที่ไม่แสวงผลกำไรและดำเนินกิจกรรมทางด้านดนตรีและนาฏศิลป์ต่อเนื่องกันมาถึงปัจจุบัน
และในปี 2552 คณะกรรมการชมรมฯ มีดำริและมีมติร่วมกันให้มีโครงการจัดตั้งโรงเรียนสาธิตวัฒนธรรมไทยนครซิดนีย์เพื่อเผยแพร่และสอนดนตรีสำหรับเยาวชนและผู้สนใจไทยในเขตนครซิดนีย์และเขตใกล้เคียง จนถึงปัจจุบัน และได้ขยายสาขาไปที่กรุงแคนเบอร์ร่า เป็นสาขาของชมรมฯ ในการเผยแพร่ศิลปะวัฒนธรรมทางด้านดนตรีและนาฏศิลป์อีกที่หนึ่ง ปัจจุบันชมรมฯ มีคณะกรรมการบริหารงานและมีคุณนิรัตน์ ขวดใสเป็นประธานคนปัจจุบัน
On 27 July 2025, Mr. Naruchai Ninnad, Consul-General in Sydney, presided over the Wai Khru Ceremony (Teacher Appreciation Ceremony) for Thai Classical Music Club in Australia. On this occasion, the Consul-General anointed the faces of the Thai music and dance students, the Thai musical instruments, and the Kru heads (ceremonial teacher masks) for auspicious blessings. He also presented certificates to participants of the 2024 Thai Classical Music Club Program, handed out tokens of appreciation to the club’s music and dance instructors, and gave remarks greeting club members.
At the same event, the Consul-General also presented financial support for the club’s activities, which have been ongoing for over 20 years. The Thai Classical Music Club in Australia was established in 2004 by Acting Capt.Chanpat Juntamool (Kru Oat), who brought together individuals skilled in Thai music and dance in Australia to form the first Thai music ensemble. The club has since participated in Thai community events as well as cultural programs with local Australian communities and other countries. It is a legally registered non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Thai music and dance and has been actively conducting related activities to this day.
In 2009, the club’s committee resolved to launch a project to establish the Thai Cultural Demonstration School in Sydney to promote and teach Thai music to youth and interested individuals in Sydney and nearby areas. The school has continued its operations to the present and has since expanded with a branch in Canberra to further promote Thai cultural arts in music and dance. Currently, the club is managed by an executive committee and is chaired by Ms. Nirat Khudsai.
