เมื่อวันที่ 19 - 20 กันยายน 2569 สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ พร้อมด้วยทีมประเทศไทย ณ นครซิดนีย์ หน่วยงานภาคี และชุมชนไทยในรัฐนิวเซาท์เวลส์ ร่วมกันจัดงาน Thailand Grand Festival 2026 @Sydney ณ สวนสาธารณะ Tumbalong Park นครซิดนีย์ ภายใต้แนวคิด "Creative Life, Creative Heartbeat"
 
พิธีเปิดงานจัดขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 19 กันยายน 2569 เวลา 11.00 น. โดยได้รับเกียรติจากผู้แทนระดับสูงจากฝ่ายไทยและรัฐนิวเซาท์เวลส์ ทั้งนี้ นายนฤชัย นินนาท กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ ได้กล่าวต้อนรับ พร้อมด้วยนางสาวอาจารี ศรีรัตนบัลล์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงแคนเบอร์รา นายคริส มินส์ มุขมนตรีรัฐนิวเซาท์เวลส์ นายอนุลัก จันทิวง รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงอุตสาหกรรมและการค้าแห่งรัฐนิวเซาท์เวลส์ และนายโรเบิร์ต คอก สมาชิกสภาเทศบาลนครซิดนีย์ ผู้แทนนางโคลเวอร์ มาร์กาเร็ต มอร์ นายกเทศมนตรีนครซิดนีย์ เข้าร่วมในฐานะแขกเกียรติยศและร่วมกล่าวในพิธีเปิด โดยนายปานปรีย์ พหิทธานุกร ประธานคณะที่ปรึกษาของรองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้ทำการกล่าวเปิดงานอย่างเป็นทางการ
 
นอกจากนี้ ยังมีผู้แทนจากรัฐบาลรัฐนิวเซาท์เวลส์ คณะทูตและกงสุลต่างประเทศ ตลอดจนผู้แทนจากเทศบาลต่าง ๆ เข้าร่วมงานและแสดงความยินดีในโอกาสดังกล่าว อาทิ นายเบนจามิน คาเมรอน แฟรงคลิน ประธานสภาสูงแห่งรัฐนิวเซาท์เวลส์ ผู้แทนคณะกงสุล และนางมิเชล ชวง สมาชิกสภาเทศบาล Willoughby
 
ตลอดสองวัน Thailand Grand Festival 2026 @Sydney ซึ่งมีผู้เข้าร่วมมากกว่า 80,000 คน ไม่ได้เป็นเพียงเทศกาลที่นำประเทศไทยมาไว้ใจกลางนครซิดนีย์ แต่เป็นพื้นที่ที่คนไทยได้ร่วมกันแสดงศักยภาพและความภาคภูมิใจในความเป็นไทย พร้อมแบ่งปันวัฒนธรรมไทยกับสังคมออสเตรเลีย ผู้เข้าร่วมทั้งชาวไทยและชาวต่างชาติได้สัมผัสศิลปวัฒนธรรมไทยผ่านการแสดงจากศิลปินและคณะการแสดงจากประเทศไทยและออสเตรเลีย เลือกซื้อสินค้าไทยและอาหารไทย และร่วมกิจกรรมด้านการท่องเที่ยว สุขภาพการนวดไทย มวยไทย รวมถึงกิจกรรมที่เปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เข้าร่วมได้เรียนรู้และทำความรู้จักประเทศไทยในมิติต่าง ๆ นับเป็นอีกหนึ่งโอกาสสำคัญในการเผยแพร่ประเทศไทยและสร้างความเข้าใจอันดีระหว่างประชาชนไทยและออสเตรเลีย
 
ในโอกาสนี้ สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ ขอขอบคุณหน่วยงานพันธมิตร ผู้สนับสนุน ผู้ประกอบการ ศิลปิน นักแสดง อาสาสมัคร และชุมชนไทยทุกภาคส่วน สำหรับความร่วมมือและการสนับสนุนในการจัดงาน Thailand Grand Festival 2026 @Sydney ให้เกิดขึ้นและประสบความสำเร็จลุล่วงไปด้วยดี
From 19 - 20 September 2026, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Sydney, together with Team Thailand in Sydney, partner agencies, and the Thai community in New South Wales, hosted Thailand Grand Festival 2026 @Sydney at Tumbalong Park, Sydney, under the theme “Creative Life, Creative Heartbeat”
 
The Opening Ceremony was held on 19 September 2026 at 11.00 a.m., with senior representatives from Thailand and the Government of New South Wales in attendance. The ceremony commenced with welcome remarks by Mr Naruchai Ninnad, Consul-General of Thailand in Sydney, followed by remarks from Ms Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia; The Hon. Chris Minns, 47th Premier of New South Wales; The Hon. Anoulack Chanthivong, Minister for Industry and Trade of New South Wales; and Councillor Robert Kok, City of Sydney, representing the Right Honourable Clover Margaret Moore AO, Lord Mayor of City of Sydney, who attended as Guests of Honour and delivered remarks. The ceremony then proceeded to the official opening remarks delivered by Mr Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Chairman of the Advisory Board to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, formally marking the opening of Thailand Grand Festival 2026 @Sydney.
The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the New South Wales Government, members of the diplomatic and consular corps, and representatives from various local councils, including The Hon. Benjamin Cameron Franklin MLC, President of the Legislative Council of New South Wales; representatives of the ASEAN Consular Corps; and Councillor Michelle Chuang of Willoughby City Council.
 
Over the two days, Thailand Grand Festival 2026 @Sydney, which welcomed more than 80,000 fairgoers, was not only a festival that brought Thailand to the heart of Sydney, but also a platform for the Thai community to come together to showcase their capabilities and pride in being Thai, while sharing Thai culture with Australian society. Thai and international visitors experienced Thai arts and culture through performances by artists and performing groups from Thailand and Australia, explored and purchased Thai products and food, and participated in activities related to tourism, health and Thai massage, as well as activities that provided opportunities to learn about and get to know Thailand in various aspects. The festival was another important opportunity to promote Thailand and foster greater understanding between the Thai and Australian people.
