เมื่อวันที่ 22 พฤษภาคม 2569 นายนฤชัย นินนาท กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ เป็นประธานเปิดการสนทนากลุ่ม (Focus Group) และเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงานเลี้ยงอาหารค่ำให้กับผู้ประกอบการร้านอาหารไทย ร้านจำหน่ายสินค้าเอเชีย และผู้นำเข้าสินค้าอาหารในนครซิดนีย์ ภายใต้โครงการวิจัย “การศึกษาศักยภาพและโอกาสในการยกระดับตลาดสินค้าเกษตรและอาหารแปรรูปจากประเทศไทยในออสเตรเลีย” ซึ่งดำเนินการโดย นางสาววราภรณ์ แซ่ลี้ อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษา (ฝ่ายเกษตร) สำนักงานที่ปรึกษาการเกษตรประจำกรุงแคนเบอร์รา กระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์
กิจกรรมดังกล่าวเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้ประกอบการร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นและให้ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับแนวโน้มการบริโภคสินค้าเกษตรและอาหารแปรรูปในออสเตรเลีย ตลอดจนข้อกำหนด กฎระเบียบ และมาตรฐานด้านการนำเข้าและความปลอดภัยอาหารของออสเตรเลีย โดยข้อมูลที่ได้รับจ่ะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการจัดทำข้อเสนอเชิงนโยบาย และแนวทางสนับสนุนผู้ประกอบการและผู้ส่งออกไทยในการขยายตลาดและเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันในตลาดออสเตรเลียอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
On 22 May 2026, Mr. Naruchai Ninnad, Consul-General of Thailand in Sydney chaired a discussion session (Focus Group) and hosted a dinner reception for Thai restaurant operators, Asian grocery retailers, and food importers in Sydney as part of the research project entitled “A Study on the Potential and Opportunities for Enhancing the Market for Thai Agricultural and Processed Food Products in Australia,” conducted by Ms. Waraporn Saelee, Agricultural Attaché, the Office of Agricultural Affairs, Canberra, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand.
The event provided an opportunity for participants to exchange views and share insights on consumer trends for agricultural and processed food products in Australia, as well as import requirements, regulations, and food safety standards. The information gathered will contribute to the development of policy recommendations and strategies to support Thai entrepreneurs and exporters in expanding their market presence and enhancing their competitiveness in Australia.
