เมื่อวันที่ 10 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ ร่วมกับการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย สำนักงานนครซิดนีย์ และบีดีเอ็มเอส เวลเนส คลินิก (BDMS Wellness Clinic) ศูนย์สุขภาพเชิงป้องกันในเครือบริษัท กรุงเทพดุสิตเวชการ จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ BDMS จัดงานบรรยายพิเศษ ณ บ้านพักกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์โดยมีบุคคลจากหลายภาคส่วนของรัฐนิวเซาท์เวลส์เข้าร่วมงาน
ในโอกาสดังกล่าว นายนฤชัย นินนาท กงสุลใหญ่ฯ กล่าวเปิดงาน โดยย้ำถึงศักยภาพของไทยในการเป็นศูนย์กลางการแพทย์และสุขภาพ (Wellness Hub) ของโลก และโอกาสในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือในด้านดังกล่าวระหว่างไทยและออสเตรเลีย จากนั้น นายแพทย์ตนุพล วิรุฬหการุญ ประธานคณะผู้บริหาร BDMS Wellness Clinic บรรยายพิเศษในหัวข้อ “Wellness Hub Thailand: The Future of Global Wellness” โดยได้นำเสนอวิสัยทัศน์ด้านการรักษาสุขภาพเชิงป้องกันของไทย ซึ่งใช้เทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรมด้านการแพทย์ (Thai scientific wellness) ผนวกกับจุดแข็งด้านบริการสุขภาพแบบครบวงจร ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติที่อุดมสมบูรณ์ วัฒนธรรม อาหาร สมุนไพร การแพทย์แผนไทย และการบริการที่สะท้อนอัตลักษณ์ความเป็นไทย และในโอกาสเดียวกันนี้ แพทย์หญิงพิชชาพร ธนาพงศธร ผู้ช่วยผู้อำนวยการ บีดีเอ็มเอส เวลเนส คลินิก และผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายพัฒนาธุรกิจ บีดีเอ็มเอส เวลเนส คลินิ และนายแพทย์สงวน คุณาพร ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านศัลยกรรมตกแต่งได้ร่วมนำเสนอข้อมูลด้วย
ต่อมาเมื่อวันที่ 11 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 กงสุลใหญ่ฯ เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมสัมมนา Wellness Executive Talk: Internal Science, External Artistry, Total Harmony ซึ่งจัดขึ้นโดยความร่วมมือระหว่าง BDMS Wellness Clinic และการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย (ททท.) ณ โรงแรม Manhattan and Avenue เพื่อร่วมผลักดันประเทศไทยสู่การเป็น Wellness Destination of the World การสัมมนาดังกล่าวมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์ศักยภาพและโอกาสการลงทุนในธุรกิจการท่องเที่ยวเชิงสุขภาพของประเทศไทย โดยเฉพาะด้านอายุกรรม ทันตกรรม และศัลยกรรม ที่มุ่งเน้นการดูแลสุขภาพเชิงป้องกัน และการเสริมสร้างคุณภาพชีวิตให้ผู้รับบริการมีอายุยืนยาวอย่างมีคุณภาพ อันจะช่วยส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงสุขภาพและยกระดับภาพลักษณ์ของประเทศไทยในเวทีนานาชาติ
On 10 February 2026, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney, in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Sydney Office, and BDMS Wellness Clinic, a preventive healthcare center under Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS), hosted a special lecture at the residence of the Consul-General of Thailand in Sydney. The event was attended by distinguished guests from various sectors across NSW.
On this occasion, Mr. Naruchai Ninnad, Consul-General of Thailand, delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing Thailand’s potential to serve as a global Wellness Hub and the opportunities to enhance cooperation between Thailand and Australia in this field. This was followed by a keynote lecture titled “Wellness Hub Thailand: The Future of Global Wellness” by Dr. Tanupol Virungaharun, Chief Executive Officer of BDMS Wellness Clinic. Dr. Tanupol presented Thailand’s vision for preventive healthcare, which integrates advanced medical technology and innovation (Thai scientific wellness) with the country’s strengths in comprehensive healthcare services, abundant natural resources, culture, cuisine, herbal medicine, traditional Thai medicine, and hospitality that reflects Thai identity. On the same occasion, Dr. Pitchaporn Thanapongsathorn, Assistant Director and Business Development Director of BDMS Wellness Clinic, and Dr. Sanguan Kunaporn, a specialist in plastic surgery, also delivered presentations.
On 11 February 2026, the Consul-General attended the seminar “Wellness Executive Talk: Internal Science, External Artistry, Total Harmony,” jointly organized by BDMS Wellness Clinic and the Tourism Authority of Thailand at the Manhattan and Avenue Hotel. The seminar aimed to further promote Thailand as the “Wellness Destination of the World.” Its objective was to showcase Thailand’s capabilities and investment opportunities in the health and wellness tourism sector, particularly in internal medicine, dentistry, and cosmetic surgery, with a focus on preventive healthcare and enhancing quality of life to support longevity with well-being. These efforts contribute to the promotion of wellness tourism and the elevation of Thailand’s international profile.
