เมื่อวันที่ 25 กรกฎาคม 2567 นางหัทยา คูสกุล กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ เป็นประธานกล่าวเปิดงานสัมมนาด้านการลงทุน "An Intimate Breakfast with Thailand's Consul-General and Industry Stakeholders" จัดโดยสำนักงานเศรษฐกิจการลงทุน ณ นครซิดนีย์ โดยภายในงานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้พบปะและหารือกับนักลงทุนออสเตรเลียที่มีศักยภาพ และสนใจประกอบธุรกิจหรือมีแผนการขยายการลงทุนในประเทศไทย และร่วมรับฟังการบรรยายเกี่ยวกับการลงทุนในประเทศไทยในมิติต่าง ๆ จากนางสาวศิถี ตันบุนเต็ก ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานเศรษฐกิจการลงทุน ณ นครซิดนีย์ นาย Joe Fussell ประธานสภาธุรกิจไทย-ออสเตรเลีย และ CEO ของ AS White Global นาย Michael Helleman หัวหน้าฝ่ายการลงทุน ประจำสำนักงาน Austrade นาย Alan Polivnick หุ้นส่วนสำนักงานกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศ Watson Farley & Williams และนาย Andrei Buendia ที่ปรึกษาอาวุโสของรัฐบาล
ในโอกาสดังกล่าว กงสุลใหญ่ฯ แจ้งให้ผู้เข้าร่วมงานทราบถึงมาตรการต่าง ๆ ของรัฐบาลในการอำนวยความสะดวกให้แก่นักลงทุน แผนการปรับสู่เศรษฐกิจสีเขียวและการผลิตพลังงานสะอาดสำหรับภาคอุตสาหกรรม รวมถึงเป้าหมายการยกระดับประเทศไทยสู่ศูนย์กลางระดับภูมิภาคและระดับโลกผ่านนโยบาย "Ignite Thailand Vision" โดยเน้นที่อุตสาหกรรมหลัก 8 ด้าน ได้แก่ การท่องเที่ยว การเกษตรและอาหาร สุขภาพและการแพทย์ การบิน การขนส่งของภูมิภาค ยานยนต์แห่งอนาคต เศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล และการเงิน
On July 25, 2024, Ms. Hataya Khusakul, Consul General in Sydney, presided over the opening of the investment seminar "An Intimate Breakfast with Thailand's Consul-General and Industry Stakeholders," organized by the Thailand Board of Investment in Sydney. At the event, the Consul-General met and discussed with potential Australian investors who are interested in doing business or planning to expand their investments in Thailand. The participants also listened to presentations on various aspects of investing in Thailand by Ms. Sithi Tanboontek, Director of the Office of the Board of Investment in Sydney; Mr. Joe Fussell, Chairman of the Thai-Australia Business Council and CEO of AS White Global; Mr. Michael Helleman, Head of Investment at Austrade; Mr. Alan Polivnick, Partner at the international law firm Watson Farley & Williams; and Mr. Andrei Buendia, Senior Advisor to the government.
On this occasion, the Consul-General informed the attendees about the government's various measures to facilitate investors, plans for transitioning to a green economy and clean energy production for the industrial sector, as well as the roadmap to elevate Thailand to become a regional and global hub through the "Ignite Thailand”vision. This policy emphasizes eight key industries: tourism, agriculture and food, health and medicine, aviation, regional transport, future automotive, digital economy, and finance.
