สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ จัดงานเทศกาล Thailand Grand Festival 2022 เมื่อวันที่ 14 – 15 พฤษภาคม 2565 ซึ่งการจัดงานได้รับการสนับสนุนเป็นอย่างดีจากสมาคมชุมชนไทยในนครซิดนีย์และรัฐนิวเซาท์เวลส์ และผู้ร่วมงานทุกท่าน รวมทั้งยังได้รับความร่วมมือและการสนับสนุนเป็นอย่างดีจากทีมประเทศไทยในออสเตรเลีย ประกอบด้วย สำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้าในต่างประเทศ ณ นครซิดนีย์ สำนักงานเศรษฐกิจการลงทุน ณ นครซิดนีย์ การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย สำนักงานนครซิดนีย์ สำนักงานที่ปรึกษาการเกษตรต่างประเทศ บริษัทการบินไทย บริษัทบุญรอดบริวเวอรี บริษัทราช-ออสเตรเลีย
พิธีเปิดงานจัดขึ้นในวันที่ 14 พฤษภาคม 2565 เวลา 11.00 น. ซึ่งนางหัทยา คูสกุล กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ เป็นเจ้าภาพ โดยฝ่ายไทยมี น.ส. บุษฎี สันติพิทักษ์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงแคนเบอร์รา น.ส. สมฤดี จิตรจง รองผู้ว่าการด้านบริหาร การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย ร่วมเป็นเกียรติในงาน นอกจากนี้ ยังได้รับเกียรติจาก The Honourable Magaret Beazley AC QC ผู้สำเร็จราชการแทนพระองค์สมเด็จพระราชินีนาถเอลิซาเบธที่ 2 แห่งรัฐนิวเซาท์เวลส์ และ Councillor Robert Kok ผู้แทน Lord Mayor Sydney เข้าร่วมเปิดงานด้วย
กิจกรรมภายในงาน ได้แก่ การออกบูธของผู้ประกอบการอาหารไทยและร้านค้า สมาคมนักเรียน สมาคมนวดไทยแห่งออสเตรเลีย บูธหน่วยงานทีมประเทศไทย อาทิ บูธ ททท. จัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวไทย การแสดงและกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ บนเวที และลานเบียร์
การจัดงานครั้งนี้นับอีกหนึ่งกิจกรรมในการเฉลิมฉลองโอกาสครบรอบ 70 ปี การสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างไทย – ออสเตรเลีย ในปี 2565 ด้วย และโลโก้ของงานซึ่งเป็นรูป “ชะลอม” ยังแสดงถึงสัญลักษณ์ของการเป็นเจ้าภาพประชุมเอเปคของไทยในปี 2022 อีกด้วย

Thailand Grand Festival returns to Sydney at Belmore Park, Haymarket.
The long-awaited Thailand Grand Festival finally came back to Sydney on 14 – 15 May 2022. The biggest Thai event was organised by the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney in close collaboration with Thai community organizations in Sydney and New South Wales, with the support from Thai Trade Centre, Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) Sydney Office, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Sydney Office, Office of Agricultural Affairs in Australia, Thai Airways, Singha Beer and RATCH-Australia Corporation.
The opening ceremony was held on Saturday 14 May 2022 at 11 am, with Mrs Hataya Khusakul, Consul-General of Thailand in Sydney, as host. Notable representatives from the Thai side were H.E. Ms Busadee Santipitaks, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Australia, and Ms Somradee Chitchong, Deputy Governor for Administration, Tourism Authority of Thailand. The whole Thai community felt very honoured that the Honourable Magaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, presided over the opening ceremony, as well as Councillor Robert Kok as the representative of Lord Mayor of Sydney.
The Festival featured authentic Thai cuisine, art and handicraft, as well as sport and cultural performances for the residents of Sydney and New South Wales to enjoy. The event was also one of the celebration activities to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Australia.
