เมื่อวันที่ 13 พฤศจิกายน 2568 นายนฤชัย นินนาท กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ พร้อมด้วยหัวหน้าสำนักงานทีมประเทศไทย พบหารือกับนาง Marina Kapetas เจ้าหน้าที่อาวุโส ฝ่ายตลาดโลก (อาเซียน) และนาง Kalra Lampe ผู้อำนวยการบริหาร ฝ่ายการค้าและความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ Investment NSW
ในโอกาสนี้ กงสุลใหญ่ฯ และคณะแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับการผลักดัน Thai Town ให้เป็นพื้นที่ต้นแบบของแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจ 24 ชั่วโมง ทั้งในมิติการสนับสนุนทางการเงิน แหล่งทุน และกลไกความร่วมมือที่เป็นไปได้ อีกทั้งได้หารือถึงบทบาทของภาคธุรกิจไทยในการสนับสนุนเศรษฐกิจสีเขียว การเปลี่ยนผ่านด้านพลังงาน และประเด็นด้านที่อยู่อาศัยให้สอดคล้องกับยุทธศาสตร์ NSW Trade and Investment Strategy 2035 ตลอดจนโอกาสความร่วมมือด้านสตาร์ทอัพภายหลังการเปิดดำเนินงานของโครงการ Tech Central ในอนาคต พร้อมทั้งได้แสดงความกังวลต่อการจัดระดับความเสี่ยงของวีซ่านักเรียนไทยในปัจจุบันด้วย
On 13 November 2025, Mr. Naruchai Ninnad, Consul-General of Thailand in Sydney, together with Heads of Team Thailand Office in Sydney, met with Ms. Marina Kapetas, Senior Associate, Global Markets (ASEAN), and Ms. Kalra Lampe, Executive Director, Trade & International, Investment NSW.
During the meeting, the Consul-General and his delegation exchanged views on advancing Thai Town as a flagship model for the 24-hour economy concept, as well as exploring opportunities for financial support, funding sources, and collaborative mechanisms. The discussion also covered the role of Thai businesses in supporting the green economy, the energy transition, and housing-related considerations in alignment with the NSW Trade and Investment Strategy 2035. The parties further explored opportunities for future startup cooperation following the full implementation of the Tech Central project. In addition, the Consul-General expressed concerns regarding the current risk assessment level applied to Thai student visas.
