เมื่อวันที่ 18 กรกฎาคม 2567 สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ ได้จัดงานเลี้ยงรับรองและฉายภาพยนตร์รอบพิเศษเรื่อง “หลานม่า” หรือ 'How to Make Millions Before Granma dies' ณ โรงภาพยนตร์ Event Cinema, George Street นครซิดนีย์ ในโอกาสที่ภาพยนตร์ดังกล่าวเข้าฉายในประเทศออสเตรเลียและนิวซีแลนด์ โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมจากหน่วยงานภาคของรัฐนิวเซาท์เวลส์ คณะกงสุลต่างประเทศในนครซิดนีย์ โดยเฉพาะสมาชิกประเทศอาเซียน ผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องในอุตสาหกรรมภาพยนตร์ของรัฐนิวเซาท์เวลส์ สื่อมวลชน Influencers/ Youtubers/ Tictokers และ Friends of Thailand

ในพิธีเปิด นางหัทยา คูสกุล กงสุลใหญ่ฯ กล่าวว่าภาพยนตร์ไทยจะช่วยเป็นสื่อทางวัฒนธรรมที่สร้างความเข้าใจ เชื่อมโยงแนวคิดและคุณค่าทางวัฒนธรรมระหว่างไทยกับออสเตรเลียซึ่งเป็นประเทศพหุวัฒนธรรม โดยหวังจะเห็นภาพยนตร์ไทยได้รับการตอบรับในตลาดออสเตรเลียมากขึ้น นำไปสู่การขยายความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยและออสเตรเลียในอุตสาหกรรมภาพยนตร์ต่อไป

ผู้เข้าร่วมชมภาพยนตร์ต่างรู้สึกประทับใจในเรื่องราวที่สะท้อนคุณค่าของครอบครัวและความกตัญญูเป็นอันมาก

“ตอนดูหนังหลานม่า หนูรู้สึกเศร้าเพราะว่ามันใกล้เคียงกับครอบครัวหนู แต่หนังมีด้านที่ตลกด้วย ในความคิดเห็นของหนู หนังหลานม่าคือหนังที่เหมือนชีวิตจริงและทุกคนต้องดู” - อริสา ดาวเส็ธ (หนอน), นักเรียนโรงเรียนภาษาไทยวัดพุทธรังษี -

“หนูไม่คิดว่าหนังเรื่องหลานม่าจะเศร้าขนาดนี้ หนังดีมากค่ะ ดูแล้วทำให้หนูคิดถึงคุณยายกับคุณย่าของหนู หนูและเพื่อนๆ ร้องไห้กันจนตาแดงเลยค่ะ” - อแมนดา เชาว์ (มิ้นท์), นักเรียนโรงเรียนภาษาไทยวัดพุทธรังษี –

“หนังเรื่องนี้เศร้าและอบอุ่นใจมาก มันทำให้หนูเข้าใจและตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของครอบครัว ตอนจบ หนูและเพื่อนๆ ร้องไห้เพราะเรื่องราวสะเทือนอารมณ์มากค่ะ” - ณัชชา นิพัทธโกศล (แบม), นักเรียนโรงเรียนภาษาไทยวัดพุทธรังษี -

On July 18, 2024, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney hosted a special reception and screening of the film "Lahnmah" or "How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies" at Event Cinemas on George Street, Sydney. This event marked the premiere of the film in Australia and New Zealand. Over 170 guests from the New South Wales government, foreign Consulate-Generals in Sydney, including ASEAN countries, as well as members of the NSW film industry, the media, influencers, YouTubers, TikTokers, and Friends of Thailand participated in the event.

Mrs. Hataya Khusakul, Consul-General of Thailand, echoed that the screening of Thai films in Australia helped foster understanding and bridge cultural concepts and values between Thailand and Australia, both multicultural nations. She conveyed her anticipation for the growth of Thai films in the Australian market and hopes for further expansion of cooperation between Thailand and Australia in the film industry.

The film's elegant depiction of family values and gratitude deeply resonated with the audience, creating a widely serene and reflective atmosphere.
