เมื่อวันที่ 12 พฤศจิกายน 2568 สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ จัดกิจกรรม Afternoon Tea on the Occasion of Loy Krathong Festival เพื่อเผยแพร่วัฒนธรรมไทยแก่คู่สมรสสมาชิกสภาเทศบาลและคณะกงสุลประเทศต่าง ๆ ในรัฐนิวเซาท์เวลส์ โดยมี นางกัญญารัตน์ นินนาท ภริยากงสุลใหญ่ฯ เป็นเจ้าภาพ
ในโอกาสนี้ นายนฤชัย นินนาท กงสุลใหญ่ฯ กล่าวต้อนรับและกล่าวถึงความสำคัญของประเพณีลอยกระทงในการขอขมาพระแม่คงคาและการอนุรักษ์ขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณีที่ดีงามของไทย ภายในงานมีกิจกรรมลอยกระทง ประดิษฐ์กระทง และชิมอาหารและขนมไทย
อนึ่ง กงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้นำผู้เข้าร่วมพิธียืนสงบนิ่งถวายความอาลัยสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง เป็นเวลา ๑ นาทีก่อนเริ่มกิจกรรม
On 12 November 2025, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney hosted the Afternoon Tea on the Occasion of Loy Krathong Festival to promote Thai culture among the spouses of city council members and the consular corps in NSW. The event was hosted by Mrs. Kanyarat Ninnad, spouse of the Consul-General.
On this occasion, Mr. Naruchai Ninnad, Consul-General, delivered welcoming remarks highlighting the significance of the Loy Krathong tradition, paying respect to the Goddess of the River and preserving Thailand’s cherished cultural heritage. The event featured krathong floating, krathong-making activities, and the tasting of traditional Thai dishes and desserts.
The Consul-General also led the participants to observe a solemn 1-minute of silence in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother.
