NON-IMMIGRANT VISA CATEGORY “O”
(O SPOUSE VISAS For Dependent, Spouse and family visit and spouse of Thai national)

1. Eligible Applicants for O Spouse Visa

- This category of visa is issued to applicants who are spouses, parents, or children of Thai nationals and are currently residing in Australia.

2. O Spouse Visa Conditions

- The O Spouse is valid for a single entry 90 days or multiple entries 1 year from the date of issuance.
- The extension of stay is at the discretion of the Immigration Officer. Extension applications can be made at the Office of Immigration Bureau (visit https://www.immigration.go.th/ for more information).
- If the O Spouse Visa holder breaches the entry conditions, the stay permit will be revoked and he/she will be prohibited from entering Thailand in the future.

3. O Spouse Visa Application Procedures

Each applicant must submit a complete online form together with the required documents* to the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Sydney. The required documents are as follows:

Completed Visa Application Form

2.

One (1) passport-sized photograph affixed to the Visa Application Form

- Size 3.5 x 4.5 cm.

- White background and no older than 6 months

3.

Passport

- A minimum validity of six months from the date of planned entry into Thailand

- Must have at least two empty pages

4.

Proof of an Australian Electronic Visa (only for non-Australian Nationals))

- Visa grant page or VEVO check status page

5.

Invitation letter

- An invitation or acceptance letter from the concerned organization in Thailand indicating position, responsibilities, and length of stay in Thailand

6.

Proof of relationship

- A proof of relationships such as marriage certificate or birth certificate

7.

Document from spouse in Thailand

- An Invitation letter from your spouse or family member with copy of their Thai ID card and house registration.    OR

- A copy of the visa or work permit of a spouse or parent who is currently working in Thailand

Proof of COVID-19 health insurance

- A COVID-19 health insurance for medical treatment expenditures of COVID-19, covering at least USD 100,000 during the entire stay in Thailand.  The insurance policy must cover a period of at least 3 months, and must clearly state coverage for expenditures occurring from COVID-19 treatments.

- List of recommended health insurers: AETNA/ Asia Insurance/ AXA / Bangkok Insurance/ LMG/ Navakij/ Pacific Cross Health Insurance / Southeast Insurance/ Tune/ Viriyah

Additional Supporting Documents

- Driver License or Photo Card

Visa fee

- AUD 120 for single entry or AUD 300 for multiple entries

- Payment can be made by cash, debit or credit card (payment in person at the Consulate-General only). For money order, or cheque, paid to “Royal Thai Consulate-General, Sydney”

 

4. O Spouse Visa processing times

- Visa processing time is usually 3 days
- Certain applications which require special consideration may take longer to process.

5. Remarks

- The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney reserves the right to request additional documents as deemed necessary as well as reject any application without prejudice.
- The applicants must provide genuine documents and information. If the applicants are found to provide false documents or give false information, their applications will be rejected and be reported for further determination of appropriate action and future prohibition to enter the Kingdom of Thailand.
- Visa processing fees are non-refundable regardless outcome.
- Visa processing fee is subject to change without prior notice.
