1. Eligible Applicants for RS Visa
- This category of visa is issued to eligible applicants who are currently residing in Australia and obtain an invitation letter from the National Research Council of Thailand. The letter should state the name of the applicant, research or project name, and the duration of your stay.

2. RS Visa Conditions
- RS is valid for a single entry into Thailand
- The validity of RS is 90 days from the date of its issuance
- If the RS holder is found to be in breach of the conditions for entry into Thailand, the stay permit will be revoked immediately and he/she will be prohibited from entering Thailand.

3. RS Visa Application Procedures

Completed Visa Application Form

Recent passport-sized photographs affix to the visa application form

- Size 3.5 x 4.5 cm.

- White background and no older than 6 months

Passport

- A minimum validity of 6 months from the date of planned entry to Thailand

- Must have at least two empty pages

4.

Proof of an Australian Electronic Visa (only for non-Australian Nationals)

- Visa grant page or VEVO check status page

5.

Letter from the National Research Council of Thailand

- An Invitation Letter from the National Research Council of Thailand. The letter must state the name of the applicant, research or project name, and the duration of your stay.

6.

Pre-paid self-address return envelope by post

- Driver License or Photo Card

7.

Visa fee

- AUD 120

- Payment can be made by cash, debit, or credit card (payment in person at the Consulate-General only). For money order, or cheque paid to “Royal Thai Consulate-General, Sydney”
