REQUIREMENTS/REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR TRAVELERS TO THAILAND

The applicants are requested to register for Thailand Pass at least 7 business days before their departure.

Entry Measures into Thailand by Air travel
 
**Registration on Thailand Pass starts on 29 April 2022 (00.01 hrs Thailand Time)
From 1 May 2022, travelers entering Thailand by air will be subject to new entry measures, as follows;
 
1. Fully Vaccinated Persons must :
 
     - Register on Thailand Pass
     - Attach required documents including passport, certificate of vaccination
     - Attach proof of insurance with at least 10,000 USD coverage for medical treatments in Thailand (for non-Thais only)
     (COVID-19 test, both prior to and after arriving in Thailand, is no longer required)
 
2. Unvaccinated Persons
 
   🔸 (Option 1 - Exemption from quarantine) Travelers with a negative RT-PCR test result issued within 72 hours before traveling must :
 
     - Register on Thailand Pass
     - Attach required documents including passport, and COVID-19 RT-PCR test result issued within 72 hours before traveling (must attach on Thailand Pass only)
     - Attach proof of insurance with at least 10,000 USD coverage for medical treatments in Thailand (for non-Thais only)
(Any COVID-19 test after arriving in Thailand is not required)
     PLEASE NOTE Travelers who have been approved to enter Thailand under AQ scheme but wish to enter Thailand under an exemption from quarantine must re-apply on Thailand Pass.
 
   🔸(Option 2 - Quarantine) Travelers who cannot undergo an RT-PCR test result within 72 hours before traveling or wish to be quarantined must :
 
     - Register on Thailand Pass
     - Attach required documents including passport, Alternative Quarantine (AQ) hotel confirmation for 5 days (including 1 RT-PCR test)
     - Attach proof of insurance with at least 10,000 USD coverage for medical treatments in Thailand (for non-Thais only)
     - Undergo an RT-PCR test on Day 4 - 5 in Thailand during the mandatory 5-day quarantine at AQ hotel
     PLEASE NOTE Travelers whose Thailand Pass have already been issued can travel with the issued QR Code and do not need to register for new Thailand Pass.

****The list of approved/recognised vaccines include:

- 2 doses of CoronaVac (Sinovac Biotech Ltd.)

- 2 doses of AstraZeneca or Covishield (AstraZeneca & University of Oxford / SK Bioscience (Korea) / Siam Bioscience / Serum Institute of India (SII))

- 2 doses of Pfizer – BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine or Comimaty (Pfizer Inc, &BioNTech)

- A dose of Janssen or Janssen/Ad26.COV2.5 (Johnson & Johnson Service, Inc.)

- 2 doses of Moderna (Moderna Inc.)

- 2 doses of Sinopharm vaccine or Covilo (Sinopharm Co., Ltd.)

- 2 doses of Sputnik V(Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology) * only recognised for international travel*

- 2 does Covaxin (Bharat Biotech International Limited:BBIL)

- 2 doses of Novavax/ Nuvavoxid

- 2 doses of Medigen

Any combination of the above-mentioned vaccines is acceptable.

 

 

INTERNATIONAL TRANSIT/TRANSFER PASSENGERS AT SUVARNABHUMI OR DON-MUEANG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

 

Travellers transitting/transferring at Suvarnabhumi or Don-Mueang International Airport (lay-over time not exceeding 24 hours / check-through luggage only / cannot leave transit area / final destination is outside of Thailand) do not need to register for Thailand Pass, but are required to have the following documents:

 

  • Medical Certificate with a laboratory result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected, using RT-PCR method, which has been certified or issued no more than 72 hours before departure, OR certificate of vaccination showing that the last dose was administered no less than 14 days before the date of departure.
  • Travel health insurance covering health care and treatment expenses for COVID-19 disease, or any other guarantee throughout their stay in the Kingdom, with a coverage of no less than 10,000 USD. This requirement (insurance) does not apply to Thai passport holders.
