NON-IMMIGRANT VISA TYPE "O-X"

(For Retirement long stay: valid for 5 years)

 

1. Eligible Applicants for Non-OX Visa Category

This type of visa is issued to the applicant who is an Australian national or a permanent resident currently residing in Australia whose age is 50 years or over and are currently residing in Australia.

 

2. Non-OX Visa Conditions

  • Non-OX is valid for multiple entries into Thailand.
  • If the Non-OX holder is found to be in breach of the conditions for entry into Thailand, the stay permit will be revoked immediately and he/she will be prohibited from entering Thailand.

 

3. Pronouncement:

  • The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney reserve the right to request additional documents as deemed necessary as well as reject any application without prejudice.
  • The applicants must provide genuine documents and information. If the applicants are found to provide false documents or give false information, their applications will be rejected and be reported for further determination of appropriate action and future prohibition to enter the Kingdom of Thailand.
  • Visa processing time may vary depending on the demand and/or information to be reviewed which may take up to 15 working days.

 

4. Non-OX Visa Application Procedures

Each applicant must submit a complete online form together with the required documents* to the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney.

The following documents must be provided in 3 sets (1 original set and 2 copies set):

1.

Visa Application form

· Download form, fill, print and sign where applicable

2.

Retirement form

· Download and complete Retirement Visa personal data form

3.

Two (2) passport-sized photographs affix to the visa application form

· Size 3.5 x 4.5 cm.

· Light background (passport standard) and no older than 6 months

4.

Passport

· A minimum validity of 18 months until the date of travel

· Must have at least one blank page

5.

Photocopies of

· Your passport’s data page (A4 size copy)

· Your driver license OR photo card

6.

Proof of financial status

· A bank statement in the past six months showing a deposit account with the minimum fund of AUD 150,0000 or an income statement with a monthly salary of AUD 5,000

7.

COVID-19 health insurance

· A COVID-19 health insurance covering medical treatment expenditures of COVID-19, worth at least USD 100,000 during the entire stay in Thailand (policy must cover at least 1 year).  The insurance policy must clearly state that it includes expenditures occurring from COVID-19 treatments.

Health Insurance

· A certificate of health insurance issued by Thai insurance companies covering the entire period of stay in Thailand containing the detail of coverage as follows; In-house patients of not less than THB 400,000/policy year, as for out-patients, not less than THB 40,000/policy year. Police Clearance Certificate

· A complete “Medical Certificate Form” with a valid/legal rubber stamp of medical doctor to confirm its authenticity (this form can be downloaded from our website)

Visa fee

· AUD 600

· Pay by card/cash OR money order/ bank cheque paid to Royal Thai Consulate-General Sydney

 

 

5. Flights to Thailand

Option 1 Semi-commercial flights to Thailand

Certain airlines are now permitted to operate semi-commercial flights to Thailand, namely, Emirates, Etihad, EVA, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airline, Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Swiss Air, KLM, Air France and etc.

Option 2 Special chartered flights organised by the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra and the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney

6. Application for the Certificate of Entry (COE)

Upon approving a Non-OX visa, the applicants will have to apply for the COE via coethailand.mfa.go.th

Please note the followings:

  • Upon entry into Thailand, all applicants are required to undergo 10-day Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ). For more information, please visit http://hsscovid.com/. Evidence of reservation for ASQ for a minimum period of 10 days from the date of the arrival in Thailand will be required for the COE application.
  • All the applicants are required to obtain COVID-19 health insurance covering medical treatment expenditures of COVID-19, worth at least USD 100,000 during the entire stay in Thailand as part of the application to obtain COE. The insurance policy must clearly state that it includes expenditures occurring from COVID-19 treatments. 7. At the Departure Airport and upon Entry into Thailand

All applicants with approved Non-OX visas will be required to present the following documents to the airline check-in staff at the departure airport and concerned authorities upon arrival in Thailand:
