TOURIST VISA (TR)
1. Eligible Applicants for TR
This type of visa is issued to eligible applicants who are currently residing in Australia and wishing to enter Thailand for the sole purpose of tourism only.

Each applicant must submit a complete online form together with the required documents* via the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney.

One (1) passport-sized photograph affixes to the visa application form · Size 3.5 x 4.5 cm. · Light background (passport standard) and no older than 6 months |

Passport · A minimum validity of six months until the date of travel · Must have at least one blank page |

Photocopies of · Your passport’s data page (A4 size copy) · Your driver license OR photo card |

Evidence of adequate fund · A bank statement in the past six months showing a deposit account with the minimum fund of THB 10,000 per person, or THB 20,000 per family |

COVID-19 health insurance · A COVID-19 health insurance covering medical treatment expenditures of COVID-19, worth at least USD 100,000 during the entire stay in Thailand (policy must cover at least 3 months). The insurance policy must clearly state that it includes expenditures occurring from COVID-19 treatments. · List of recommended health insurance: Pacific Cross Health Insurance / Aetna/ Viriyah/ Navakij/ Axa / Tune/ Southeast Insurance/ LMG/ Asia Insurance/ Bangkok Insurance |

5. Flights to Thailand
Option 1 Semi-commercial flights to Thailand
Certain airlines are now permitted to operate semi-commercial flights to Thailand, namely, Emirates, Etihad, EVA, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airline, Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Swiss Air, KLM, Air France and etc.
Option 2 Special chartered flights organised by the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra and the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney

6. Application for the Certificate of Entry (COE)
Upon approving Tourist visa, the applicants will have to apply for the COE via https://coethailand.mfa.go.th/
Please note the followings:
All the applicants are required to obtain COVID-19 health insurance covering medical treatment expenditures of COVID-19, worth at least USD 100,000 during the entire stay in Thailand as part of the application to obtain COE. The insurance policy must clearly state that it includes expenditures occurring from COVID-19 treatments. List of recommended health insurance: Pacific Cross Health Insurance / Aetna/ Viriyah/ Navakij/ Axa / Tune/ Southeast Insurance/ LMG/ Asia Insurance/ Bangkok Insurance.
7. At the Departure Airport and upon Entry into Thailand
All applicants with approved Tourist visas will be required to present the following documents to the airline check-in staff at the departure airport and concerned authorities upon arrival in Thailand:
